So, this cultivar has languished in an out-of-the-way bed since 2000. I decided to register it as Long, Long Ago, which is when I should have introduced it. At the last minute, I went back to the parachute team idea and named it for my friends who spend all day jumping out of planes and practicing aerial acrobatics at a nearby airport.

While it isn't the fastest increaser around, it is a strong, vigorous, bold grower that is especially delightful for its late-midseason bloom and its extreme ruffling.

Golden Parachutes is a great breedeer for size and ruffles in golds, yellows, pinks and reds. We haven't taken it to purple lines yet. It has produced the most ruffled seedlings we have.
